Frequently Asked Questions
When shall I kick-start my college preparation?
When should we start working with you?
While we can assist students at any stage, starting early offers significant advantages. Ideally, we recommend beginning in Freshman or Sophomore year to allow time for comprehensive planning and profile development. Junior year is crucial for standardized testing, creating college lists, and leadership development. Even if you start in Senior fall, we can still provide valuable assistance with applications and essays. Remember, the earlier you start, the more we can help reduce stress and strengthen your profile!
How many times do you see the students?
At Uni2BE, we believe in regular, consistent support. Typically, we like to see students a minimum of 8 times during their Junior year.
During the application process, we meet as often as needed to ensure all deadlines are met and applications are of the highest quality. This approach allows us to provide comprehensive support while adapting to each student’s individual needs and timeline.
Do you work with students pursuing different curriculums?
Yes, at Uni2BE we understand all academic programs available in Lebanon. This includes the French Baccalaureate, College Preparatory Program (CPP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and the Lebanese program. Additionally, we are familiar with the Advanced Placement Program (AP) courses and exams. Our expertise across these diverse curricula allows us to provide tailored guidance regardless of academic background.
Do you help students choose summer plans during Junior year?
Yes, we take a close look at the location of each student’s chosen universities, and accordingly suggest summer activities that can enhance their application package. We understand the importance of strategic summer planning in strengthening a student’s profile and demonstrating interest and commitment to their chosen field of study.
What about the application essays?
Well, that is a major part of the application package, and we definitely provide guidance and supervision, however the actual writing of the essay is- solely- done by the student. The refinement is done in-house together with the student to ensure alignment with application requirements.
No limitation as far as essays and drafts are set, however we recommend that students apply to a maximum of 12- 15 universities during the application cycle.
In terms of extracurricular activities, what guidance does Uni2BE offer?
Our approach is holistic; we look at the student as a whole and beyond their numbers, be it grades or scores. Above all, we help students in choosing their personal project that aligns with their character, strengths, and academic focus. During the application process, we ensure that the student’s extracurricular activities align with the university ethos and showcase the extra value s/he will bring to the campus.
When is the best time to apply to university?
The best time to apply depends on several factors, including the specific universities of interest and application plans (Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision, etc.)
1. Early applications (ED/EA) are typically due in November of Senior year.
2. Regular Decision deadlines are usually in January or February of Senior year.
3. Some universities have rolling admissions.
We work closely with each student to develop a personalized application timeline that aligns with goals and maximizes chances of admission.
How do I find a university that is a ‘best-fit’ for me?
Uni2BE’s approach and methodology is highly personalized. In general and in a nutshell, the factors to consider are: location, size, culture, facilities, degree, curriculum, selectivity, diversity, exchange programs and industry placement options, alumni, and network. We highly recommend for our students to do in-person or virtual tours of the university in order to enable them to decide if it is a good fit.
What support do you provide post-application submission?
We help students in preparing for interviews by anticipating core questions and preparing ideal answers that align with the student and his/her abilities and credentials. We conduct mock interviews prior to the actual ones.
Additionally, we guide, supervise, and help the student in preparing for entrance exams – although we do not offer tutoring services in this regard. Our academic coaching approach and belief in knowledge-sharing and empowerment help ensure a smooth transition to college. Our students are Uni2BE kids, so our support can extend through the first year in college.
Do you guarantee acceptance to any university?
While we cannot guarantee acceptance to any specific university, our aim is to empower our students and boost their profiles so they present the best version of themselves in their application packages. We provide expert guidance, strategies, and support to maximize each student’s potential and chances of admission to their chosen university.
How much do your services cost?
Our packages are on a location-basis: we have separate location packages and combined ones. The level of service is not an indicator of its cost, as we do our utmost and work according to student’s needs within the timeframe allocated. However, we believe that starting in Grade 11 will ensure a more effective and efficient process.

Applying to university can seem like a daunting task for any high school senior. Whether it's navigating various college portals or getting started on your personal statement; there seem to be an endless number of tasks awaiting completion. Uni2BE did not only guide me through the application process itself, but were able to tailor their approach to meet my every need. Throughout this year, on countless occasions, Uni2BE has shown me tremendous levels of care and compassion; and are truly willing to go above and beyond to ensure that us students obtain the opportunities that we’ve strived to attain throughout high school.

A unified team with an amazing follow up, a clear vision of each child, handling each child with the proper “know how” to direct the child to the path that best fits his/her character and the field of study that best suits their future career desires. Uni2Be has a concise strategy to understand the interests, strengths and weaknesses of each child to direct both, their clients and their parents, to work for a common goal which is the best interest of the child. I was very impressed by the persistent ongoing and timely follow up from both Basma and Emma @Uni2Be. They both gave my children all the required guidance and help throughout the 2 years preparation program. My eldest is already in George Washington University, my 2nd is applying to the proper universities next year with the guidance of Uni2Be and am looking forward to seek their guidance when it's time to apply for my 3rd child to university.

Writing college essays can be intimidating, but with Uni2Be, I was given a confidence boost and reassurance in my ideas. With that encouragement, I could express my ideas, knowing that what I was doing wasn't "deja vu" or "cliche." With proper guidance and research, Uni2be helped me narrow down the universities that best fit me and my character rather than "the university with the best name" or "the university with the highest ranking."
